GEO for Dubai businesses

A tourist just asked ChatGPT where to eat in Dubai Marina. It didn't say your name.

Boost Search is a generative engine optimization consultancy in Dubai. We get local businesses named inside the answers AI assistants give when someone asks for a recommendation: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Restaurants, clinics, brokers, gyms, salons. The recommendation is made before anyone opens a map.

Run it yourself

Open ChatGPT. Ask it what a visitor would ask.

where should we eat tonight in Dubai Marina, somewhere quiet, good for an anniversary

The assistant returns three to five venues, each with a one-line reason: the terrace, the noise level, the tasting menu, the view. It cites a couple of Dubai guide pages and a review site. Every name in that list gets considered. Nothing else does.

A new resident with no local knowledge asks once and books once. The assistant assembles the shortlist from profiles, directories and reviews. Nobody in the answer paid for the slot. Somebody earned it.

You know your Google ranking. Do you know your ChatGPT ranking? Most owners have never checked. That check is where we start, and the first one is free: five real customer questions, run across the major assistants, returned as screenshots.

Why here

Why this matters more in Dubai than almost anywhere

Dubai runs on people who have not been here long. Tourists on a four-day trip. New residents in their first month. Business travellers with one free evening. Families relocating and rebuilding every routine at once. These are customers with no local knowledge and no habits, which means they have no default answer in their head. So they ask for one.

In a city with a settled population, most first-time customers arrive through a friend, a neighbour, or years of driving past your sign. Here, a disproportionate share of first-time customers arrive through whatever answered the question on their phone. That is a channel, and almost nobody in your category is competing for it on purpose yet.

Language compounds it. Someone asks in Russian, Hindi, Tagalog or Arabic, and the assistant still assembles the answer largely from English-language sources: English review text, English guide pages, an English Google Business Profile. The question was not in English. The recommendation was decided in English anyway. If your English-language surface is thin, you are invisible to askers in every language.

The work

What we actually change

We don't just edit your website. Most of what AI says about you comes from other people's pages.

Your website's content and structure

The things a model can actually lift: plain text instead of images and PDFs, headings that match how people ask, direct answers near the top of the page, and structured data that names what you are.

Your Google Business Profile

Primary category accuracy first, because a wrong category quietly removes you from a whole class of answers. Then attributes, hours, service list, photos and the questions in the Q&A section.

The directories and guides models read

The Dubai listicles, city guides and category directories that assistants cite when they answer local questions. Being absent from those pages is the single most common reason a business is absent from the answer.

Your review surface

Not just the star count. The recency, the language, and whether the review text contains the words people use when they ask: quiet, outdoor, family, late, walk-in, parking.

The third-party pages that mention you

Roundups, blog posts, community threads, press. These are the sources a model corroborates against, and they are written by people who are not you. Getting them accurate is most of the job.

What is technically readable

Whether AI crawlers can reach your content at all is a different question from whether Googlebot can. Heavy client-side rendering, blocked agents and text locked in images all fail here.

How we start

We talk first, then we look

It starts with a call. We want to understand what you sell, who walks in, and what you are actually trying to fix. There is no package to pick from and nothing to buy at that stage.

Around that conversation we take a look ourselves. We ask the real questions a customer in your category would ask, in the phrasing they would use, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. We keep the screenshots and we talk you through them: who gets recommended, whether you appear, how you are described when you do, and any factual errors about you. That costs nothing and carries no obligation.

We are in Dubai, so we would rather do it in person. We will come to you and run the questions on your own phone, so you see the answers appear yourself rather than taking our word for it.

Then we propose a plan specific to your business: what to change, in what order, and what we would do versus what your own team can handle. Some of it you can do yourself, and we will say so when that is true.

Questions

What Dubai business owners ask us

GEO agency Dubai: what does one actually do?

Generative engine optimization is the practice of getting a business named and cited inside AI-generated answers. In practice we run the real questions your customers ask across every major assistant, show you the answers, then change what those assistants read: your site's content and structure, your Google Business Profile, your review surface, your listings, and the third-party pages that mention you. Then we measure whether the answers move.

Is this an AI SEO agency UAE businesses can use alongside their current agency?

Yes. We work alongside an existing marketing or SEO team and hand over specific, implementable direction. Plenty of our engagements are advisory for exactly that reason. If your current agency is already doing this work well, we will tell you and save you the money.

SEO consultant Dubai: is that the same thing?

They overlap and we do both, but they are not the same job. Classic SEO earns you a position in a list of links. GEO earns you a mention inside a generated answer, which depends heavily on sources you do not own: reviews, directories, forums and third-party roundups. Good SEO is table stakes here, not the product.

Dubai business AI search optimisation cost: what determines it?

Your category, the size of your competitor set, and how much of the work your own team does. We do not sell packages. Every engagement is scoped individually after the first conversation, once we understand your business and what actually needs changing. Tell us about your business and you will get a number within a working day.

Do you offer GEO services in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the wider Middle East?

Yes. We are based in Dubai and meet clients in person across the UAE. The work itself is remote-friendly, so we take clients across the GCC and the wider Middle East, and further afield. Nothing about the method requires us to be in the same room, though for local businesses the first meeting usually helps.

See what AI says about your business

Send us your business name and the question a customer would ask. We'll run it across the major assistants and send the screenshots back. Prefer to meet? We're in Dubai. We'll come to you and run the test on your own phone.
